World's Greenest Cities

Where in the world are eco-loving city dwellers? Grist, a great site for environmental news and humor, has put together a list of the world’s fifteen greenest cities and we took notice. Topping the list is Reykjavik , Iceland. Congrats to the Land of Fire and Ice! Other cities on the list include Portland , Vancouver , Copenhagen , Sydney , and Barcelona .

So visit and take a deep breath, because you can.

To this date I don´t honestly believe we have arrived at a point where we can name a city or cities "green".The absolute best we can do is name them lower polluting entities at this time.
A "green" city should be self sustaining, non-poluting as well as able to share-sell energy to third parties as an extra dividend of their "green-ness".
Actually a green city might be one we might find in the Andes, in Africa or somewhere technology hasn´t contaminated society, let alone the environment.
