Just Cool Stuff
I'd like to take a moment to just point out some stuff that rocks. These are a couple of seriously sweet items.
First off, grab a new pair of sneakers because converse high tops now come in hemp.
Then, dust off that vinyl record collection and put it to good use with a vinyl record turned bowl Now that's a chip bowl worth sharing with friends.
What are your must-haves?

Sun Jar
Harness the energy of the sun in a jar This light doesn't need a switch or a plug, just sunlight. Without the harsh glare of light bulb, sun jars can be convenient for reading, or can act as instant mood lighting.
It may even make the person you're setting the mood with look better. Probably not though.

Space Worthy of MTV Cribs
Have your couch match the background of your MySpace page. Create a pillow covered in that oh-so-clever doodle from your notebook. Design a bedspread with logos from all your favorite indy bands. Create custom fabric by sending a pattern and then choosing from a selection of materials (pick something organic!). It's your space, so dream big. And for the record, yes, that Bruce Lee poster would look fantastic as a decorative sham.

Cup Couture
Don’t be a Starbucks drone. Jazz up your daily coffee or tea to go with your own thermal sleeve. Whether leopard spotted or Hawaiian print, it will make your drink, and you, get noticed. From corporate cool to fashionista chic, take your pick.
In a sea of brown cardboard, be unique.

MTV SWITCH Tips
Going to the store for every little thing is lame. I’m willing to bet you already have what you need, in your kitchen or junk drawer. And MTV SWITCH is all about repurposing.
For instance, you can…
- Stop cars from hitting your bike with a foldable ruler
- Remove hair dye with Diet Coke.
- Tone muscles by filling empty detergent bottles with water for weightlifting. Inexpensive and hardcore.
It’ll save you a trip as well as some cash.

Gadget Green
We missed Christmas, our bad. But you probably still have plenty of birthdays coming up, and you're going to have buy something other than a card or another whoopee cushion. The Green Daily has a list of 2007's Best Green Gadgets, and many of them are a lot cooler than you may think. Solar-Powered chargers, and even a solar-powered messenger bag that charges your electronics inside. Maybe you think that's lame, but so is another year of whoopee cushions.

Freshly Squeezed
We're not going to tell you to stop drinking orange juice, mostly because we're not nutjobs. But it's pretty cool to look at the environmental workings of the orange juice industry, to see what separates frozen concentrated orange juice from its unfrozen ilk.
As Slate's Green Lantern points out, a little knowledge can feel as sweet as tangy orange juice pouring down the gullet. Drink up.
